Hello and Welcome to my website
I think I have the best job in the world because it brings together three of my greatest loves – writing, reading and travelling the world with my family! I’ve been writing stories full of adventure, magic and mystery since I was about eight years old.
Later I made up fun stories for my own three children, while during the day I worked as travel journalist, editor, and technical writer. Some of these stories became my very first published series, The Sun Sword Trilogy.
Now I have written more than 35 books for children and teenagers, which are published both here in Australia and around the world. My historical time-slip series for older readers includes award-winning books such as The Ivory Rose, The Forgotten Pearl and The Lost Sapphire. Pippa’s Island, is about friendships, family and seaside adventures on a gorgeous tropical island. For younger kids, I have 13 books in the best-selling Lulu Bell series inspired by my childhood growing up in a vet hospital and all our animal adventures. It’s such a thrill to know that kids as far away as Turkey, The Czech Republic, South Africa, Norway and Brazil are enjoying my books.
My latest book is called The Golden Tower, and is a fantasy time slip full of mystery, magic and wonder, flying horses and talking cats – but also danger and evil plots.
And when I’m not writing books (or escaping on wonderful travel holidays with my family) I’m often out talking to kids at schools, festivals and literary events around Australia.
Thanks for joining me on my book-loving journey!
